Year 6 Visit Gibside
What a great way to relax after SATs week! Year six visited the wonderful Gibside estate for a day of health and wellbeing activities organised by the SSP. The sun shone which made it a great day for tree finding, team building, picnic eating, park playing, camp-fire…
Victorian Inventors!
Year 6 enjoyed learning about some of the life-changing inventions that have been around since the Victorian times. We then connected with scientists of the past to create our own inventions to help out with everyday problems in the home. They were certainly very…

Kingswood Residential: Climbing and bouldering
Lots of challenge in this activity – setting ourselves a goal to climb as high as possible on the climbing walls or tower or moving quickly across the bouldering wall to get points for the team!
Kingswood: Problem solving, Fencing and Fire Lighting
On guard! Trying out fencing was a lot of fun. Some of the children were naturals at it! Problem solving helped us to develop our cooperation skills and we also learned to light a fire.
Kingswood: Archery
Class six really enjoyed shooting arrows at the archery range. There were quite a few bull’s eyes too!
Kingswood Residential: High Ropes!
One of the highlights of the visit is the High Equilibrium activity. Pushing ourselves to climb as high as we can – some of us even made it right to the top to stand on the see-saw!
