Today, we used fraction walls to help us find fractions of £1. We had to find which coins would fit in the fractions. This helped us answer questions like ‘what are two tenths of £1?’
We have finished our Ancient Egyptian topic now and to celebrate we had an afternoon full of Egyptian craft. We made mummies and then designed sarcophagi for them to be buried in. We also made clay lids for the canopic jars that they used when they mummified the body….

On Tuesday morning, Y3 visited the Great North Museum to see the Egyptian exhibition. We got to see a real mummy, journey through the afterlife, see a replicate of the Rosetta Stone. We even got a chance to visit the Stone Age exhibit and the gems and fossils too.
Today our Year 3 and Year 4 classes performed at the Gateshead Schools Dance Festival. They opened the show with a fantastic dance to Believer. All the effort that has gone into each PE lesson was worth it for every child to have this experience. We are so proud of…

It is so important to look after our own mental health. This week, we have completed a Mood Booster and learnt a line dance, meditated and had a go at some yoga. This all helped us feel happy on the inside!
