We meet every Tuesday to share ideas and to plan and discuss any projects in school. If anyone in school has any ideas please share with your class representatives for the school council and we will see what can be done!
Harvest donations.

Year 2 School Councillors
Say hello to Year 2’s school councillors. Eve and Evan were chosen by their friends in class to be a voice within the whole school council. We know they are going to do an amazing job!
Training
Mr Sweeney came into school on Friday afternoon to work with us. We talked about our role in school, how we can be effective and what the expectations for the year are.
Red Nose Day
As part of our Red Nose Day activities the school council sold biscuits and cakes at playtime. We raised over £75.00! We also sent home a ‘design a red nose’ competition. Winners will be announced next week.
Mayor’s Parlour Visit
The School Council enjoyed a visit to the Mayor’s Parlour. They were able to meet the current Gateshead Mayor-Councillor Pauline Dillon, learn about the role of the Mayor, try on the robes and ask questions. It was a great morning and everyone learned a lot.
Anti-Bullying Week
We sold wristbands, pin badges and rules each break time to raise awareness of Anti-Bullying Week.
Children in Need
The school council decorated and sold cakes to raise money for this years Children in Need. The bake sale raised over £40.00 in total and all the cakes were gone by the end of playtime!
Worry boxes
We have been busy making and decorating worry boxes and there is one in each classroom as well as the hall. If anyone in school has a worry please write it on a piece of paper and place it in the box. The boxes are checked daily and an adult can help you with your…
