We found out lots about Advent during our Festival of Light day. We found out what each candle represented on the advent wreath. We also researched the ‘Christingle’ and even had a go at making our own to take home.

In Geography, we have been learning about Europe. We have been using atlases to locate countries within Europe. We found this a bit tricky at first but we soon got used to working with maps.

We have been using Scratch to make our own Maths multiplication games. We had to follow the instructions very carefully to make sure the games worked correctly. We invited our friends to have a go at our new games. We had so much fun!

This week we have been shining the light on children’s mental health by taking part in Hello Yellow. We all came to school wearing yellow and took part in various activities that helped us focus on our mental health and well-being.

On Tuesday 15th March, we went to Arbeia Roman Fort in South Shields. We found out all about the fort and what it was used for. We were able to handle Roman artefacts and even had a go at drawing them. We were amazed to find out that the fort was once set on fire….
