    World War One Workshop

    Year 6 enjoyed a fabulous workshop led by volunteers from the Northumberland Fusiliers Museum who are based at Alnwick Castle. It was so interesting to handle artefacts from World War One and to learn about life in the trenches.

    Computer Club

    This term the children in the Year 5 and 6 computer club have been improving their physical computing skills by using Crumble kits to put some of their coding skills into action. They’ve coded traffic lights, lighthouses and made and controlled their own robot buggies.

    Tree Naming Ceremony

    Year 6 joined members of the Ryton community, including local MP Liz Twist, to name the tree stump sculpture that they helped to design and to choose a name for. It was a really special moment for everyone involved and we were delighted to be involved in such a lovely project.

    Kingswood: Problem solving, Fencing and Fire Lighting

    On guard! Trying out fencing was a lot of fun. Some of the children were naturals at it! Problem solving helped us to develop our cooperation skills and we also learned to light a fire.
