Year 5 have had a fantastic week celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee. After learning about the Queen’s life and duties, they focused on the 1990s. They learnt about the key events, fashions and technological changes that happened in the 1990s and then spent some time listening to and dancing to some of the music from the decade – this even inspired some children to write some of their own pop songs. The week ended with a picnic in the playground followed by a Jubilee Party.
