Beamish

Year 2 had a fabulous day in Beamish today. We explored the 1950’s town and enjoyed a workshop in the Welfare Hall. We got to play with lots of toys from the past and Mr Woolley showed us how to use them all. Some of them were much more difficult to use than they looked but we practised until we could do it. We explored the old town and even got to go into the vault at the bank. After lunch, we made our way back round to the school. We looked at how the classroom in the 1900’s compares to our classroom back in school. After a long walk back up to the bus, we collected our bags of sweets from the gift shop and had a very quiet bus trip home. Some of us even enjoyed a little power nap! Thank you to the parents who helped us on our trip.
