The mayor arrives at Crookhill

1st October 2015
Thursday at Crookhill was an exciting day, as the Mayor and Mayoress of Gateshead presented the children of Crookhill with 2 very special awards. Over the past year, the children have been working towards being the first school in Gateshead to achieve the Enhanced Healthy Schools Gold Award and a Platinum Award for Inclusion. The project looked at a range of disabilities, with each class having their own disability to focus. The children were challenged to think about the effect their behaviour, actions and words has on those around them with any form of disability. The children rose to the challenge and will continue this great work throughout the coming year. We are all extremely proud to be the first school in Gateshead to achieve these awards!
