Creativity Week - Spring

What a super busy week it has been in Class 4.  We have thoroughly enjoyed our Creativity Week focusing on careers, aspirations and role models.  George Fouche, international rugby player and motivational speaker came to share his inspirational life story with the children and explained the ten characteristics that are needed for success.  We also worked in class to find out about different jobs and careers.  A visit from the officers who work on the Northumbria / Durham Police Helicopter was very exciting for those fans of 'Police Interceptors' although the helmet was very heavy to wear!.  Finally, we enjoyed finding out about engineering from Scott (AKA Mr Kelly!) from local engineering company Parker Haniffin.  He was very impressed with the standard of rocket building and the children were delighted to see their creations taking to the air using his specially engineered launch machine.  Unfortunately the photography of this activity is not very easy so there are a number of interesting shots of children looking to the skies!
